The said upcoming charity basketball game is the Season 5 of the UNTV Cup, which was set to kick off on August 29 at MOA Arena. Different from the common basketball games, UNTV Cup is composed of different teams from various Philippine’s government agencies whose primary concern is public service. Each team was given a chance to have their chosen charity that will serve as beneficiary of their cash winnings.
UNTV Cup is one of the many advocacies of Kuya Daniel Razon, the Chairman and CEO of UNTV-BMPI.
Last season 4, UNTV Cup gave a total of 8 million pesos in its grand champion game. The Armed Forces of the Philipiines (AFP Cavaliers) won the game and took home a total of 4 million pesos.
Meanwhile, Pacquiao is determined to win with his group the championship this UNTV Cup season. “Gusto namin mag-champion kami.” he said.
