MANILA, Philippines – Bro. Eli Soriano, of the multi-awarded religious program Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path), had revealed through his Twitter account on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, his plan of launching a charity concert for the benefit of the families of the fallen 44 SAF members as part of his #Noynoyparin campaign.
Soriano contented the critics that it is much better to help President Benigno S. Aquino III (PNOY) and be part of the solution instead of criticizing him about the Mamasapano incident in Maguindano. Soriano expressed on his Twitter post, “Instead of blaming PNoy of an incident beyond his mental & physical control let’s help him help our fallen heroes!”
And one of the options given by Soriano and his group, Ang Dating Daan (ADD), is to launch a charitable concert in the near future. “ADD members are launching a campaign to help the relatives of our fallen heroes with an initial cont. of 1 million peso.” He sincerely added.
The upcoming charity concert is said to be an act of their sincerity coinciding with their #Noynoyparin campaign, which is still on Twitter’s trending list since it was first introduced last Monday, February 16, 2015. Although it was not yet clear when and where the project will be held, thousands of netizens have already given their words of support to Bro. Eli’s call.
The hashtag #Noynoyparin was first posted and promoted by Soriano on his Twiiter account. It’s to show support to PNOY as the call by other religious groups for the President’s resignation was publicized. Thousands of netizens are continuously supporting ADD’s campaign.
#Noynoyparin Is Not a Paid Campaign
Bro. Eli Soriano also gave his side in response to some allegations that the support he and his group gives to PNOY are being paid by somebody:
He numbered three main reasons WHY #Noynoyparin and had promised that he’s going to publish more reasons on his blog:
Netizens backed Soriano’s responses and had expressed their thoughts by confuting the allegations. They also challenge the people responsible for the blatant lie being imputed to them to show any evidences of the allegation, if they have.
On the other hand, it can be recalled that Ang Dating Daan had supported a similar event in 2010. It was a charitable concert called Protest Broadcast 3. It was a benefit concert for the families of the 58 victims, mostly media men, killed in the Maguindanao massacre.
